Our educational approach

The theoretical choices of the nursery are based on a sociocultural perspective (Vygotsky) where we work to create conditions for learning. Educators start from the questions and interests of the children and plan teaching that supports and challenges the children in a playful environment.

We are currently in the focus area of aesthetic creation and will continue this area from December until the end of December. Teaching is planned by the teachers of the respective work teams, who ensure that teaching is planned in a way that both challenges and interests the children in the age-divided groups. The work teams document and reflect weekly on the completed teaching. When the focus area ends, it is evaluated and we move on to the next, which is the ability for linguistic communication.

Our way of working is to explore, support the children, motivate and encourage their own hypotheses together with the children.

No Parental Intervention Needed

Since May 15, 2011, the parent association has transformed into a staff cooperative, which means for you as parents

We have compensation days:
Twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn, we have our cleaning days and, as parents, it is voluntary. Now, in 2025 we try to separate and have two consecutive weekends to be able to do some work that needed to be done on the second occasion. The experiment went well and we will try again this spring (2026).

We would love for you to join us, for a while, a few hours or a whole day, whichever you prefer. This is done so that your child(ren) have the best possible environment to stay in the nursery. All of us, the directors, will participate in the dismantling, some with their respective and we offer breakfast, coffee, and lunch.

It is usually pleasant and enjoyable in every way, you get to know and do nice things for the children both outdoors and indoors. There is a task for everyone, no prior knowledge is needed.
